Project outline. This entry defines how the AI4Game journey will be documented. Specific tasks, architectures, benchmarks, and results have not been supplied yet.
Start with the question
Each research direction should begin with a concrete question: what behavior are we trying to understand or improve, and what observation would change our mind?
Before describing a model or a system, a project note should establish the task, the environment, the baseline, and the criterion for a useful result.
Record the development workflow
Development notes can capture decisions while the context is fresh:
- The problem or limitation that prompted the change.
- The alternatives considered and the reason for the chosen approach.
- The smallest implementation that tests the idea.
- The checks used to establish working behavior.
- What remains unclear and the next concrete step.
When an implementation is ready to share, link to a specific code revision rather than an ever-changing branch.
Keep experiments traceable
An experiment entry should connect the hypothesis to the exact setup and artifacts needed to inspect it. Relevant details may include environment versions, configuration, random seeds, evaluation rules, and a command that reproduces the run.
Both positive and negative results belong in the log. A failed approach should retain its motivation and observations so that future work can build on the lesson.
Next entries
This outline is ready for the first substantive project note: a research question, an initial development walkthrough, or an experiment with enough detail to examine.
No performance claims or project milestones are implied by this outline.
